Our Story

On a beautifully crisp, fall day, in October of
1993, Afrigenix opened the doors of its first salon
in Manhattan's trendy Soho district.

Our traditional, yet cutting edge styling techniques
made us a quick hit! Success in our craft quickly
lead to work in film, television and print, as well
as international travel.

Early on, we recognized a need for a line of
simplistic, time-honored, growth-promoting, natural
hair care products.

Clients from all walks of life expressed their
frustration and disappointment with the many mass
produced, ineffective, overly-commercialized
products that were available on the market.

We quickly began our research and testing, and
developed our own natural hair care line in response
to the many needs that were being voiced to us.

Over the years, we have been blessed to be able to
share what we have uncovered.

Our hope is that our unique combinations of natural
ingredients and aromatherapeutic oils will bring
healing, time-honored simplicity, joy and olfactory
bliss into the lives of many - for many years to
come !
